Friends of the Trail and District Public Library (Friends) are pleased to announce a generous donation of $10,000 towards the revitalization of furniture in the children’s area.

This significant contribution aims to create a more inviting and comfortable space for young readers, fostering a love for learning and literacy.

The children’s area at the Trail and District Public Library serves as a vital hub for young minds, providing a welcoming environment for exploration and discovery.

Recognizing the importance of this space, the Friends have committed to supporting its enhancement through this substantial donation.

The refreshed furniture will not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the children’s area but also provide a more functional and engaging space for children to immerse themselves in the world of literature.

The donation from the Friends reflects their dedication to fostering a sense of community and a passion for reading among the younger members of our society.

Joanne McMeekin, Friends chair, expressed her enthusiasm about the project, stating, “We are thrilled to contribute to the transformation of the children’s area at our beloved library. By investing in the environment where young readers first discover the magic of books, we hope to inspire a lifelong love for reading.”

Samantha Murphy, library director, also shared her appreciation for this generous donation, stating, “The Friends have consistently played a crucial role in enhancing our library’s resources and amenities. This donation for the refurbishment of the children’s area furniture will significantly improve the overall experience for our young patrons. We are grateful for their support and dedication.”
