The BC Lifesaving Society’s Waterwise team of Brock Sampson and Rebecca Robertson demonstrated a variety of key elements in avoiding water-related fatalities including the proper use of and distinction between lifejackets and personal flotation devices (pfds).
The event held at Gyro Park in East Trail on Tuesday, is part of the Swim-to-Survive program that teaches young and old the minimum skills needed to survive potential drowning situations.
