United Steelworkers Local 480 has donated $5,000 to the KBRH Health Foundation in support of the Gordy Steep Memorial Sick Children’s Fund.
The fund supports the family and the sick child.
For example, if a sick child needs to fly to a larger centre for medical attention, the fund will help families to go with them.
“We thank the USW Local 480 and their membership for the continued support of children and families in support of medical care,” the board said.
