At the Kootenay-Columbia Board of Education meeting on May 27, Mickey Kinakin, a trustee who served locally for 31 years, was honoured.
Board chair Teri Ferworn did the presentation honouring Kinakin’s service.
The Board will be making a donation to the Children’s Orchard Russian Explore preschool program on behalf of Kinakin and the work he did over the years in support of students and public education.
