Close to 1,800 fans attended the Trail Smoke Eaters opening season home game versus the Cranbrook Bucks Friday at the Trail Memorial Centre.
Smoke Eaters owners Rich and Annie Murphy dropped the puck on the home opener recognizing Orange Shirt Day and honouring National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, while welcoming fans back to the rink with no COVID restrictions.
