The greatest highlight as mayor of the City of Trail is being invited to a classroom and quizzed by the community’s youngest members, says Trail Mayor Mike Martin. After recently visiting a Grade 2 class at Glenmerry Elementary School, Martin shared his “thank you” card (colour themed for the Trail Smoke Eaters) at Monday night council. He was thoroughly impressed with how prepared the students were with a long list of questions, his favourite being, “Why did you run for mayor?”
