Retired firefighter Munro Pickering and Rossland fire chief Gerry Woodhouse manned the pancakes on the flat top grill at the fire hall Saturday for Golden City Days’ annual pancake breakfast. Over $1,000 was raised for Kolby Zanier, a Rossland youth who awaits a heart transplant.

LaPointe is enrolled in the food service worker program, which teaches life and employment skills to those who are interested in the hospitality industry.
