Protocol host Alba Vellutini brought Community in Bloom volunteer Bill Garnett and his employee Jaime Krahembuhl a coffee and donut Wednesday, recognizing their hard work put into maintaining the local organization’s 17 flower beds in hopes of impressing visiting tourists during the B.C. Rossland Chamber of Commerce will take down its Canadian flag early this year, as the larger-than-life flag is taking a beating from the wind wrapping it around the pole atop of Mount Roberts. A new flag is carried up during a community hike that takes place on Canada Day, with this past trip carried by local Andy Russell.
