All it takes is one show to deliver the one hit wonders of the 1960s and 1970s.
And all it takes is a ticket to Rann Berry and the One Hit Wonders to catch them all. Berry and his band will pay tribute Jan. 11 at the Charles Bailey Theatre to those big hits from the ‘60s and ‘70s that you forgot you love.
The show pays tribute to that time between the mid ‘60s to the mid ‘70s when bands and songwriters were free to express themselves, both musically and idealistically, said Berry.
“The songs in this show are all considered to be ‘one hit wonders,’ which means they were the single big hit for each band or artist, or the song they are primarily known for,” he said.
Due to the popularity of these hits back then, many of these songs were subsequently covered by major artists such as Glenn Campbell, Tom Jones and even Elvis.
Berry appears with special guest Diamond Jones and his Las Vegas Revue.
The show takes place at the Charles Bailey Theatre on Friday, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m.
Tickets are available at the Charles Bailey Theatre box office or by phone at 250-368-9669.
