As we start into the fall season, some exciting things are happening at St. Andrew’s.
On Sunday, Oct. 13, at 10 a.m., we will celebrate Thanksgiving.
The church will be decorated with fruit, vegetables and flowers to demonstrate God’s bounty and the abundance of creation.
Come join with us in giving thanks!
As some people find it difficult to come to church on Sunday mornings due to sports and other commitments, we are offering an Evening Prayer service once a month starting Sunday, Oct. 20, at 4:30 p.m.
It will be an informal service of prayer and music, and will be held in the Iona Hall (church basement).
A simple supper will be served afterwards. Do come, and invite anyone you think might enjoy this spiritual way to close out your day.
On Thursday, Nov. 28, St. Andrews will be hosting a burger and beer fundraising meal at the Arlington Bar and Grill.
For $25 you can have a delicious burger and beer, or beverage of choice, anytime between 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
There will also be some 50/50 draws.
Proceeds will go to St. Andrews for programming and outreach.
Tickets will be available from the church office (standy1@telus.net or 250-368-5581), or from any parishioner. Invite your friends, and have a fun evening out while supporting a worthwhile cause.
