It was a night of intense KIJHL action on Sunday, as the Grand Forks Border Bruins and Kamloops Storm secured hard-fought victories over the Beaver Valley Nitehawks and Chase Heat.

Ashton Schram scored the game-winning goal for the Border Bruins, while Tyler Burke led the offence with two goals, bringing his season total to 32.

Goalie Jasper Tait secured the win with 25 saves.

Hunter Hansen netted the opening goal for the Nitehawks, marking the team’s league-leading 20th short-handed goal of the season.

Connor Stojan made 14 saves in the Nitehawks' loss.

Kamloops Storm 4, Chase Heat 2

Ryan Larsen’s 11th goal of the season proved to be the game-winner for the Storm, with Ben Filippone contributing three points.

Brenner Fyfe stood tall in net with 35 saves for the win.

Lochlan Stefanishyn scored his 11th goal for the Heat, while goaltender Haden Heide delivered a strong performance with 44 saves despite the loss.
