“Stuff the Sprinter,” a collaboration between staff at Kootenay Savings Credit Union (KSCU), Ferraro Foods, and the Trail Salvation Army, has raised $5,600 and collected 6,350 pounds of food for local families in need this holiday season.

Held earlier this month in the parking lots of Trail and Rossland Ferraro Foods, the food drive and fundraiser highlighted the power of local businesses and organizations coming together to support their community.

“The impact of this collaboration goes beyond the tangible donations — it’s a testament to the strength of community,” said Paul Butler, KSCU branch manager.

“KSCU’s ongoing commitment to supporting the local area, Ferraro Foods’ dedication to nourishing and providing for families, and the Salvation Army’s vital role in aiding those in need, all played key roles in making this initiative a success.”
