The Warm Hearts Charitable Foundation has donated $5,000 to the Mental Health Matters Campaign, a major initiative aiming to raise $2 million to enhance mental health care across the Kootenay Boundary.

The campaign, led by the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) Health Foundation, will support critical upgrades at KBRH, including improvements to the Daly Pavilion, Harbour House, and the Pediatric Outdoor Space.

The donation from Warm Hearts will go directly toward these essential facility enhancements.

Lisa Pasin, executive director of the KBRH Health Foundation, accepted the donation alongside Daly Pavilion Mental Health Care team representatives Shelina McDowell, nursing unit assistant, and Recreation Coordinator Jennifer Palsson. Representing the Warm Hearts Charitable Foundation was board member Tracy Batch.

“Thanks to the generosity of community partners like the Warm Hearts Charitable Foundation, we are one step closer to transforming mental health care services in our region,” Pasin said.
