Re/Max All Pro Realty is celebrating the season of sharing and giving through its annual Christmas Toy Drive.

This year marks the ninth annual Re/Max All Pro Realty Toy Drive, and it got off to a good start, collecting almost a record number of unwrapped toys at the Beaver Valley Nitehawks game on Nov. 29.

As in past years, Re/Max will be distributing the gifts and toys to the local Salvation Army and United Way this year, as well as the area schools.

"We have connected with representatives from each of the local schools this year, to make sure that we are coordinating our efforts to ensure that a family in need is not getting missed," said Keith DeWitt, Owner and Managing Broker of RE/MAX All Pro Realty

This Saturday, Dec. 14, Re/Max is inviting Trail Smoke Eaters fans to bring an extra unwrapped toy to the Re/Max Christmas Toy Drive tent at the Smoke Eaters game.

"The annual Christmas Toy Drive is an effort that we are all very proud of," said DeWitt. "Over the past nine years, we have managed to connect with many local businesses and organizations in our community, working together to raise awareness and collect gifts for local families in need.

"I think it gives everyone a great sense of pride, knowing that we are doing the best we can to help our community during the holidays" -

Re/Max will have its tent set up at the Cominco Arena for the Toy Drive, and also encourages fans to bring toques, mittens, scarves or Teddy bears (wrapped in plastic) for its annual Drop the Gloves and Sock it to 'Em Toss when the Smoke Eaters score their first goal.

The Smoke Eaters play the Blackfalds Bulldogs at 7 p.m. at the Cominco Arena.

Toys can also be dropped off at the Re/Max All Pro Realty office on Bay Avenue.
