Santa Claus is coming to town!

Old Saint Nick will arrive in the City of Trail on Friday, Dec. 13, as the special guest in the annual Santa Claus Parade, which kicks off at 5:30 p.m.

“The annual Santa Claus Parade will light up the streets of downtown Trail,” organizers shared. “Watch as Santa and his merry crew of floats, performers, and festive cheer spread holiday joy along the parade route. Bring your family and friends to enjoy this magical community tradition.”

The parade begins at the Riverfront Centre, proceeding down Helena Street, turning right onto Cedar Avenue, then left onto Farwell Street.

The procession will conclude on Bay Avenue, looping back to the Riverfront Centre.

After the parade, attendees can enjoy a festive tree-lighting ceremony at the Riverfront Centre, complete with complimentary hot chocolate.

To make this community outing easier, free parking will be available in downtown Trail starting at 3 p.m., ensuring convenient access to all the holiday festivities without the stress of parking fees.

“Come out and make lasting memories with your community this holiday season,” the organizers added. “We can’t wait to celebrate with you in downtown Trail.”

The celebration doesn’t stop with the parade.

Families are invited to the Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre for a festive Santa Swim starting at 6:30 p.m.

Dive into the holiday spirit with fun swim activities for all ages.

Don’t forget to dress in your favourite holiday attire — Santa hats, elf costumes, and more are all welcome.

“It’s a festive night you won’t want to miss,” the organizers noted.

Those interested in participating in the parade are encouraged to register a float.

Visit the City of Trail’s website to complete the registration form. (Note: this link will soon be available for registrants.)
