Hundreds of votes have been cast so far as diners at Trail-Rossland Burger Month restaurants weigh in on their favourite burger experience.
There’s 10 days left to dine and decide who has the chops to make the best burger in town.
Seven local restaurants — Birchbank Bistro, The Colander, Taco Debacle, Trail Beer Refinery, Tunnel Pub, Rock Cut Pub and the Velvet Restaurant (The Josie) — are competing in this inaugural June showdown.
The seven specialty burgers are $17 each plus tax, and while extra purchases are not required, we encourage a side order and drink while savouring these burger masterpieces.
Each restaurant has a voting box, or diners can go online to trailtimes.ca/contest and rosslandnews.com/contest.
All those who binge the burgers and vote have a chance to win a prize valued at $175; comprised of a $25 gift certificate from each restaurant.
The winning restaurant will be awarded the bragging rights of having the best burger in town.
Diners are encouraged to try once, twice, three times or more, these original specialties:
— Birchbank Bistro’s Burger Royale;
— The Colander’s John Gotti Burger;
— Taco Debacle’s Everything but the Kitchen Cinco;
— Trail Beer Refinery’s Smokin’ on the Top;
— Tunnel Pub’s Colonel Angus Burger;
— Rock Cut’s The Porky-Pine;
— Velvet Restaurant’s The Summit Stack.
