Tim Hortons is celebrating the success of its second annual Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign, which achieved record-breaking results from Nov. 18 to Nov. 24.

The campaign raised an impressive $4,283.49 at the Trail Tim Hortons, with $2,141.75 each donated to the Trail food bank and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.

At the Castlegar Tim Hortons, the campaign raised $3,146.49, with $1,573.25 each donated to the Castlegar Hospice Society and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.

Both organizations are known for their impactful work in the Kootenays.

Local owner/operator Nicole MacMillan expressed her gratitude for the community’s generosity and enthusiasm.

“I love when our funds stay local and support families right here in our community,” said MacMillan.

The Trail location also participated as a test market for a $2 Smile Cookie price this year.

Despite the increase, MacMillan said the community rallied together, surpassing expectations.

“We couldn’t have achieved this without the incredible dedication of our community supporters, local schools, volunteers, and our amazing team members who worked tirelessly all week to sell cookies," she added.

“This is a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season and bring smiles to so many faces.”

Tim Hortons extended its thanks to everyone who contributed to the campaign’s success, emphasizing the meaningful change these funds bring to local communities.
