The 25-metre Warfield Centennial Pool is generally open from the beginning of June until the end of August.

The Village of Warfield and the City of Rossland have reached an agreement for Rossland to manage the Warfield pool for the 2025 season, securing continued access to aquatic programs and recreational opportunities for both towns.

“This agreement is a significant step in ensuring that families and individuals in our communities continue to enjoy quality aquatic programs,” said Warfield Mayor Frank Marino. “By working together, we have created a framework that benefits both Warfield and Rossland residents.”

Under this new partnership, residents will see expanded pool access with an improved schedule, offering more opportunities for swim times, lessons, and recreational programming.

Coordination between the municipalities will also strengthen aquatic programs, including swim lessons, fitness classes, and special events tailored to regional needs.

Both municipalities have committed financial support to maintain the pool, ensuring sustainable funding for operations and staffing.

Rossland residents will enjoy the same access and pricing as Warfield residents, further strengthening community ties.

Additionally, the agreement aims to improve service delivery by coordinating staffing and better maintaining the facility, all with the goal of enhancing the user experience.

Rossland Mayor Andy Morel expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration.

“We are excited to partner with Warfield on this agreement and provide this level of service, which strengthens recreational opportunities for our residents and promotes regional collaboration. We look forward to a fantastic 2025 pool season.”

The municipalities also acknowledged CUPE for their cooperation, which played a key role in finalizing the operational framework. The union's involvement has helped ensure staffing arrangements align with operational needs.

Updated pool schedules and program details will be released in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the Rossland pool will continue operating at its regular service levels this summer.
