The Trail Hospital Auxiliary has contributed $600 to the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) Garden Project, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to patient care and a welcoming hospital environment.
Lisa Pasin, Executive Director of the KBRH Health Foundation, accepted the donation from Auxiliary volunteers Wendy and Geri (left to right in photo). The funds were raised through sales at the Gift Shop located in the hospital’s main lobby.
This contribution will help maintain the garden planters at the hospital’s front entrance, ensuring the space remains bright, inviting, and therapeutic for patients, staff, and visitors alike.
An additional gift was also received in memory of Shella D’Hondt and directed toward the garden project.
The KBRH Health Foundation extends sincere thanks to the Trail Hospital Auxiliary for its continued dedication to enhancing the hospital experience for all who walk through its doors.
At the heart of the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital lobby, the Gift Shop draws visitors with its bright displays and wide selection of gifts and souvenirs.
Open seven days a week, the shop is operated entirely by volunteers from the Trail Hospital Auxiliary Society, a group that has been serving the hospital and community since 1942.
The auxiliary welcomes new members and encourages anyone over the age of 16 with a few hours to spare each week to consider joining their volunteer team.
