L-R: Ladies Auxiliary President, Lauranne Sewell and Vice President, Elly Venier, present the donation to Melissa Archambault, KBRH Health Foundation board member.

The Royal Canadian Legion, Trail Branch #11, Ladies Auxiliary has made a generous $5,000 donation to support the purchase of a portable ultrasound machine for the Medical Imaging Department at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH).

"This donation brings us closer to securing this vital piece of equipment which will benefit both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, reducing wait times and enhance our capacity to serve the Kootenay Boundary communities," explains the KBRH Health Foundation.

"Thank you for your thoughtful and incredible support."

The ladies auxiliary is always looking for new members and volunteers.

They work with the branch to support year-round endeavours and their veterans.

Besides supporting KBRH causes, the ladies branch fundraises for veteran homes (Brock Fahrni and George Derby) and they donate to local food banks.

This charitable work is achieved by raising money through catering and by making and selling meat pies.
