Police are looking for tips on the culprit, or culprits, who broke into the McKelvey Creek landfill Friday night.
Saturday morning (July 6), the Trail RCMP received a report that someone had broken into the regional dump site -- located in the 1900 block of Highway 3B in Trail -- and drove machinery around the closed facility.
Witnesses, or anyone with information about the identity of the suspect(s), is asked to call the Trail detachment at 250.364.2566.
"Got into the tractor and dug himself some holes I guess," Sgt. Mike Wicentowich observes. "Seems like a weird weekend plan."
