Tomorrow marks 50 years since the Trail Daily Times highlighted the Columbia Valley Winter Festival, a fleeting regional event, with a photo taken from a home on Riverside Avenue.
While those homes have long since been demolished, a “now” photo captured early Tuesday morning from the same (or nearby) location reveals striking changes — not just in the landscape, but also in the stark absence of snow.
