Trail’s Home of Champions grows by 8

This was the first inductee ceremony since 2019

Inductees to the Home of Champions were recognized Thursday night (May 8) in a poignant ceremony at the Riverbelle.

Following the presentations, the seven individual inductees and one group walked over to the monument at the corner of Cedar Avenue and Farwell Street.

L–R: 1980 Canadian National Bowling Champions Brad Elliott, Dave Orlando, Al Venturini; Graham Livingston, bodybuilding champion and fitness mentor; Winston Giles, elite track and field athlete; Walter Siemens, trailblazer in business and civic leadership; Dr. Colleen Kramer, veterinarian and decorated equestrian competitor; Darrel Scodellaro, accepting on behalf of his father Duke Scodellaro, the Smoke Eaters’ 1939 pioneering goaltender, also recognizing Duke’s late brother and nominator Mario Scodellaro; Tom and Sherri Gawryletz, accepting on behalf of their sons Brandon and Travis, NHL sports officials.
