What you see ...

Ron Wilson spotted this gorgeous doe at Beaver Creek campground earlier this week.

The whitetail is the most widely distributed and abundant ungulate (hoofed mammal) in the western hemisphere.

Wilson spotted this western skink in a Sunningdale yard earlier this week as well.

The western skink is a species of small, smooth-scaled lizard with relatively small limbs.

It measures about 100 mm to 210 mm in length and is one of seven species of lizards in Canada.

They spend much of their day basking in the sun. Their diet ranges widely, including spiders and beetles.
