A 36-year-old Rossland man has been arrested for 14 counts of mail theft.
Castlegar RCMP received a call from Canada Post regarding a recent trend of customers not receiving mail items in Castlegar and surrounding areas on Nov. 27.
A man who was working as a sub-contracted janitor since mid-October at Castlegar Canada Post was arrested Nov. 28, following an internal investigation by postal inspectors and RCMP.
The suspect is scheduled for his first court appearance Jan. 4 at the Castlegar courthouse.
