If you haven’t already received your HST Referendum Voting package, midnight on Friday is the deadline to request one.
The deadline is only for those who have not received a package yet, not for votes to be received by Elections BC.
That deadline is 4:30 p.m. on August 5.
You can vote in the referendum if you are a Canadian citizen aged 18 or older as of July 22, been a resident of BC for at least six months immediately prior to July 22, registered as a voter in BC and not disqualified by law from voting.
If you are not a registered voter, you can register and request a voting package at the same time.
