Regional Fire and Rescue is investigating a blaze that engulfed a home in West Trail Thursday.
Firefighters from Trail, Rossland and Warfield responded to the fire at 1935 Oak St. just after 11:30 p.m.
“The occupant was home at the time of the fire and was alerted to the fire by a smoke detector,” said fire chief Terry Martin in a news release.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
