The Village of Montrose approved a $30,000 cash injection for the Community Hall Replacement project.

In their regular council meeting on Monday night, the village councillors reviewed bid proposals from three contractors who were willing to accept a $5 million liability as part of the realities from a roof replacement on this project.

The Montrose Community Hall was built in 1990 and remains in tact, but three areas need to be repaired.

Council approved the expansion of the Community Hall Replacement project and hired RMG Roofing the contract.

It will include roof modifications and an upgrade to the building’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning and cooling unit.

The project repairs are expected to take about one week.
