Montrose Recreation recently held a Pirates of the Carribean Dance, where guests kicked up their heels for a good cause. All proceeds went to the Beaver Valley Community Chest. (From left) Chest volunteer Doug Hall was presented with a $616.44 cheque by Deb Sedgwick and Montrose Councillor Mike Walsh. The funds will be used towards the annual Christmas hamper campaign. Anyone wishing to donate food items for the hampers, may do so at the village office until Dec. 8. (Missing from the photo are recreation volunteers Jayme Fowler and Carmen Gattafoni)
