A 27-year-old Trail man has been arrested in relation to marijuana grow operation bust.

At about 1 a.m. Nov. 29, the Trail RCMP was called to a West Trail home regarding a noise complaint. The subsequent investigation resulted in the man being arrested for production of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Police discovered a “substantial” amount of packaged marijuana as well as 195 actively growing pot plants after executing a search warrant at the house.

The man was released with a court date set for Feb. 9 in Rossland. A report recommending charges will be forwarded to Crown counsel.
