Police are investigating the death of a 17-year-old woman in Ross Spur.
On Sunday at approximately 1 a.m., the Trail and Greater District Detachment responded to a 911 call on Faulkner Road in Ross Spur.
According the press release issued late Monday afternoon, “the female was found to have life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, in Trail.”
The woman was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Kootenay Boundary Regional Detachment General Investigative Section and Crime Reduction Unit, along with the Nelson Forensic Investigation Section, are investigating the cause of the female’s death.
The press release stated a 28-year-old male, located at the residence, was taken into custody by police on an outstanding unendorsed arrest warrant for an incident stemming from an unrelated event.
The male is due to appear in Castlegar Provincial Court today.
