The weather was absolutely wonderful for the 23rd annual West Kootenay Toy Run. The riders kicked off the run with a pancake breakfast provided by the Castlegar Lions Club. After the hearty breaky, the riders rode through Castlegar on up to Nelson led by Santa Claus himself.

The Toy Run is a fundraiser for local food banks, womens shelters, the Salvation Army, and others. The toys that are brought in by the bikers are used in Christmas hampers that will be handed out to less fortunate families in the region over the holidays.
