In the early hours of Jan. 9 police were dispatched to a 911 call from a cell phone. The police attended the residence of the registered owner of the phone and discovered that the owner had most likely hit emergency buttons while sleeping which initiated the emergency response from police. Police remind everyone that these types of calls will be investigated as an emergency until determined otherwise so care should be taken with cell phones so 911 is not called inadvertently.
