MORRISON (nee Sharetta), ALBA — March 20 1911 - June 11 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Alba Morrison.
Alba passed away peacefully with her family at her side in Surrey, BC on June 11, 2012, at the age of 101 years. Alba was predeceased by her husband Murdo in 1997, her parents and three brothers, Victor, Thomas, and Ciro and her sister Mary Kozak of Kimberley, BC. She is survived by her son Neale and daughter Brenda Tracy, grandson Michael Morrison, and great grandchildren Jordan, Ava and Joshua of Surrey, BC.
Alba was born in Italy in 1911 in the village of Sant’ Apollinare, San Vito Chietino, Province of Chieti, Abbruzzo. She immigrated to Canada - Kimberley, BC, with her parents in 1917. She married her husband Murdo in Kimberley, and they eventually moved to Trail, BC, where they were long time residents.
Alba will be fondly remembered for her kind heart, and love and compassion for others. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on August 20, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, 502 Church Avenue, Kimberley, BC V1A 2L3 with Father John Kellogg, Celebrant.
