It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Alma at Rosewood Manor, Tuesday, February 22, 2011.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Francis after 58 years of marriage. She was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan February 21, 1918.

Francis and Alma moved to Trail in 1940 and then settled in Fruitvale where they raised their three children. Alma is survived by her daughter Marilyn Rogers (late Bud), son Ken (Anita) and son Neil (Layla); her six grandchildren: Dan, Paul, David, Jennifer, Lindsay and Ashley; and her seven great-grandchildren.

Alma was a devoted wife, Mom and Grandma. She was active in the Lutheran Church, playing piano at Rosewood Manor and always displayed a zest for life.

A celebration of Alma’s life will be held at Trail Peace Lutheran Church, 2001 Second Avenue at 1:30p.m. Friday, February 25, 2011, with Pastor Ron Abresch officiating. Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
