Alsid Thomas Desireau of Genelle, passed away on July 12, 2011 at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital.
Sid was predeceased by his grandmother Myrtle, his father Alsid, his mother Helen and his nephew Cale Clarkson. He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn, and stepchildren Shaleen (Marcus), and Dean (Kyoko).
Sid is also survived by his four sisters Myrtle, Marilyn, Susan and Laurie. He also has several nieces and nephews and three grandchildren, Maya, Sara and Jasmine.
Sid was an avid outdoorsman who loved picking mushrooms, hunting and fishing. He was often found by a cool creek on a hot day.
Sid was a former employee of CP Rail for 13 years before retiring.
A celebration of Sid’s life will be held at Royal Canadian Legion Hall #11 at 2141 Columbia Ave, Trail, BC at 2pm on July 16, 2011.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honour of Sid’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Trail, BC.
