It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Rose Ranger on July 21, 2017. She is survived by her loving husband Jean-Paul of 72 years. Dear mother to Carolyn (Vern), Maureen and Elaine. Cherished grandmother to Shawn, Renae, Emily and Elliott. Great-grandmother to Kolby, Joshua, and Scarlett.

She was born in Young, Saskatchewan on March 3, 1924. Mom found a love for music and played the saxophone with her brother in a school band. She went to Coniston, Ontario in 1942 to visit family and found a job at International Nickel where she met the love of her life. They were married shortly thereafter.

Anne was a devoted mother who enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and canning. She loved to sew and do a variety of crafts. Other pastimes included bowling, curling, square dancing and a ladies card group. Each summer the family spent much time camping and fishing. After retirement Anne and her husband enjoyed many trips to Reno as well as vacations across Canada and through the U.S.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at Rosewood Village for their kind and compassionate care. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Rosewood Village (8125 Devito Drive, Trail, BC V1R 4X9).

As requested no service will be held. Jordan Wren of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.

You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence at the family’s online register at www.myalternatives.ca

The tide recedes,

but leaves behind

bright seashells on the sand,

the sun goes down,

but gentle warmth

still lingers on the land,

The music stops,

and yet it echoes on

in sweet refrains…

For every joy

that passes,

something beautiful remains.
