May 14, 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Annibale (Andy) Gagliani announces his passing on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the age of 90 at Rosewood Village.

Andy will lovingly be remembered by his wife of 63 years, Anne, his daughter Julie (Danny), grandchildren; Eric (Amber), Ashley (Dean), and Maggie (Darren) and his great-granddaughter Ainsley. He will also be remembered by his nephews Mark and George, nieces Linda and Sandra and their families. He was predeceased by his brothers Aldo in Italy, Vasco in Trail and is survived by his brother Luigi (Maria) in Victoria.

Andy was born in Segromigno in Monte on September 24, 1927 and immigrated to Canada in 1948. He worked at Cominco for 34 years then retired in 1984 at the age of 56 and enjoyed another 34 years of happy times with his family and friends. His passion was fishing on the river banks of the Columbia River with his pal Vic. He also enjoyed hunting with this partners Guido, Oreste and Tony. He loved golfing, curling and gardening, boasting of "a hole in one", an "8 ender" and the best tomatoes in the country. He was a long-time member of the Colombo Lodge, St. Anthony's Church and the Canadian Wildlife Federation.

A special thanks go out to the staff at Rosewood for their excellent care given to Andy during his short stay with them, to Dr. Hii for his visits and continued care and especially to Laurie and her wonderful staff at Serendipity for their many years of loving and dedicated care they gave Andy while he was at home and later at Rosewood.

At Andy's request, a funeral will not be held. A private Graveside Service will be held for family members at a later date with Father Francis dela Cruz, Celebrating.
