PORCELLATO, Antonia (Antonietta) a long-time resident of Rossland, passed away on October 16, 2011 at the Rosewood Village. She was born on May 19, 1920 in Trail, BC.
Antonia enjoyed sewing, canning and family activities. She was a lifetime member of the Sacred Heart Church, and in 2009 was inducted as a lifetime member of the Rossland Eagles Auxilliary #10.
She is survived by her three daughters; Anne (Bill), Yvonne (Ken) and Nancy (Fred), grandchildren; Peter, Don, James (April), David (Sharron) and Steve, her brother Tony Campana and numerous nieces and nephews. Antonia was predeceased by her parents Giovanni and Anna, her husband Reno, her sister Lena Borsato and her sister-in-law Alice Campana.
A prayer service will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 7:00 pm at Carberry’s Chapel at 1298 Pine Avenue, Trail with Father Oscar Capilla as the celebrant. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 10:30 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rossland, BC. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Rossland.
