January 20, 1931 - December 17, 2024

In loving memory ~

Art was born January 20, 1931, in Castions di Zoppola, Udine, Italy and passed away peacefully in his Montrose home on December 17, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth; brothers Isidoro (Izzy) and Duilio (Red); sisters Dorina (Doreen) and Mary; granddaughter Larissa Freund and grandson Jared Ius. Art is survived by his wife Judy and his five children; Larry (April), Wendy (Scott), Don (Cora), Brenda (Mark), Rick (Jim) and by his 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Art was devoted to his family, his friends, and his faith. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many capacities throughout the years.

He stayed active in his younger years playing hockey, bowling in a couple's league, fishing, and hunting. He loved to design and build his own projects. He even built his own motorboat! When Art began Bee Keeping, he designed all the needed equipment including many "electrical contraptions" to deter the bears. After working for 41 years at Cominco, he retired as the Chief Pipefitter and took up golf and played in a Seniors Curling League. He spent his summers at Christina Lake creating wonderful memories with his family.

He was devoted to his wife Judy and enjoyed time with all of her children and grandchildren.

Many, many thanks go out to Larry. As the only family that lived in the area, Larry diligently watched over Dad through all the challenges of an aging parent. We can't thank him enough.
