Bernhard Andre Hermanson passed away suddenly, after a brief illness, at the Trail Regional Hospital on February 21, 2021. He was born on August 24, 1947 in Trail, BC to William and Christiane Hermanson.
Bernhard is survived by his wife Susan, his brother Mark (Denise), Mark's children Christopher and Jacqueline and his youngest brother Eric. Bernhard had a special bond with Christopher, Jacqueline and their mother, Fran that will be forever treasured.
Bernhard is also survived by in-laws Lynn and Jack Gillen, Judy Fischer, Denise Duckworth, Moe Flanagan, Terry and Rick Mailey, Gord and Kim Garay.
Bernhard enjoyed a variety of sports and hobbies throughout his life including playing and watching hockey, downhill skiing and making superb wine with his best friend Dan Boutin, bike riding, fishing at Christina Lake and on the Columbia River. He renewed his love of motorcycle riding these past few years thanks to the encouragement of our neighbor Jeremy.
Thank you to family, friends and neighbors for all their support, cards, phone calls, baking and flowers. A special thank you to Dr. Yo for his dedication to Bernhard's needs, Michelle and the staff at Safeway pharmacy for their patience and assistance.
There will be no service. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation ServicesTM has been entrusted with arrangements.
