March 18, 1931 - July 29, 2022
In loving memory ~
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing in death of our beloved mom, gram, great-grandma (Guh Guh) and loyal friend, Beryl Fay Gustafson on July 29, 2022. She was born March 18, 1931 in Rosetown, Saskatchewan and moved to Trail as a young bride with the love of her life Morton Gustafson in 1950. Morton predeceased her in 2009 but she always cherished their life together and wanted everyone to know of the wonderful 58 years of marriage they enjoyed. She was also predeceased by her sisters Joyce Hirtle and Maxine Fee; and her great-granddaughter Julie Bodecker.
Beryl loved her family and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with them. Family dinners were always a treasured occasion for her.
Her greatest love was for her God Jehovah, who she would speak about to all who would listen. She put great faith in God's promises of a better future and wanted everyone to have the opportunity to experience the comfort and joy she had as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Beryl will always be remembered for her hospitality, loyal friendship, warm smile, infectious laugh and her loyally witnessing about what God's Kingdom would accomplish on earth. Beryl touched the hearts and had a positive impact on the lives of many who knew her and because of her genuine love for people she would give kind, helpful and wise advice from the scriptures (Bible) which contributed to her being appreciated by many.
She will be deeply missed by her son Merlin (Linda) Gustafson and daughter Barb (Jim) McReynolds; her grandchildren Yvonne McReynolds, Maegan (Byron) Bodecker, Jesse (Alicia) Gustafson; her very precious great-grandson Arthur James (A.J.) Bodecker; her brother Don Palmer and many nieces, nephews, and friends who knew her as Grandma Beryl.
The family would especially like to thank all the home care workers that showed such loving, kind interest and care for Beryl over many years. She loved and appreciated you all, as we did too.
A memorial on Zoom will be held at a later date in September. If you are interested in attending please email : memorial4beryl@gmail.com for the credentials.
