Bill was born and raised in Trail, BC. After high school he attended UBC where he earned a BA degree. He returned to Trail and taught English for many years. Bill was a popular teacher and had a positive influence on hundreds of students.
In the mid sixties he took a two year contract with the Department of National Defence and taught at the base in Metz, France. While on vacation in Europe he met Frank Harris and their futures were forever intertwined. Bill returned to Trail for one more year and then joined Frank in London, England, as a partner in his import/ export business.
In the late 70's they sold their business and Bill returned to teaching. He spent many happy years at Godolphin and Latymer, a private girls' school. His booming voice and laugh will be fondly recalled by all.
Bill had a generous heart. On his trips back to Canada he always had a large suitcase full of gifts for family and friends. He was a gourmet chef and loved to host dinner parties. In the 70's he won an all Britain cooking contest and represented the UK in the European competition.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, Florindo and Guglielmina (1963), his partner, Frank Harris (2009), his sister, Helen Lamoureux (2016). Bill is survived by his older brother, Jack Vellutini of Trail, BC, cousin Mario Vellutini of Trail, BC, and his niece, Judy Robinson (Derek) of Victoria, BC.
Bill will be laid to rest in London, England.
