Age 85 died peacefully at home on May 15, 2011.

Cecil was born January 2, 1926 in Cranbrook, BC and spent much of his youth in Kelowna, BC. In 1943, Cecil moved to Trail starting his 40 year career for the CM&S Company where he met and later married, on June 2, 1945, his wife of 63 years Anne Garay. Cec enjoyed watching hockey and for a number of years, in the 1950s, was a coach for the Pee Wee league with the Trail Minor Hockey Association. His favorite past-times were camping, fishing and gold panning at Waneta. He also enjoyed his role as the family repairman, always offering to help family members with plumbing problems and car repairs. Many of his grandchildren were particularly appreciative of his efforts to keep their cars running.

Cecil was predeceased by his wife in 2008 and son Richard in 1984. He is lovingly remembered by his sons Steven (Geri) Coe and Alan (Coralee) Coe and his daughters Cheryl (Gordon) Swedburg and Carol (Gordon) Crawley as well as 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Bill Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements. There will be no service by request. As a remembrance of Cecil, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend many thanks to Dr. Hii and the many Home Support workers who assisted Dad during the past two years.
