It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Charles Edward Paul on September 8, 2012, at the age of 92.

Chuck was born in Rossland, BC on June 29, 1920. He was pre-deceased by his wife Elsie, his brothers Gordon, Lawrence (twin), Sidney, his sisters Edna, Lois and his step-son Kenneth. He is survived by his son Brian (Iris), step-sons Dale (Phyllis), Dennis (Ann), his sister Bertha, his grandchildren Leah (Matt), Michael (Melanie), Jennifer, John (Barb), Danielle (Chris), Philip, and seven great-grandchildren.

Chuck first worked in the family logging and lumber business and then he worked for the school board in Rossland and Penticton, where he retired.

He served with the Irish Fusiliers in WWII and in his younger years he was an avid cribbage player with family and friends. Chuck’s interests were gardening, walking, hiking and huckleberry picking.

Cremation has taken place and there will not be a service by Chuck’s request. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.

As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Chuck’s name to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. 300-828 West 8th Avenue,Vancouver, B.C. V5Z 1E2.
