Our Dad, Charles Eugene Stocking passed away on Sunday, January 4th at 100+ years old, born in Caron Saskatchewan on July 5th, 1914. Charlie was predeceased by his wife Chrissy in 1995 and leaves behind Tom (Joy) Stocking, Delta, Margaret (Tom) Peart, Penticton, and Bryan (Jane) Stocking, Langley, 8 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Dad moved to Montrose in 1946 and was a Millwright at Cominco until his retirement in 1974. Dad will be remembered as the “unofficial Mayor of Beaver Falls”, his lifetime membership in the Royal Canadian Legion, Fidelity Masonic Lodge, the Trail Rossland Shrine Club, Fruitvale Seniors Curling Club and as the Regimental Sergeant Major of the 44 Field Squadron, Royal Canadian Engineers in Trail. We will miss you Pop, say hi to Mom. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to George Derby Veterans Home in Burnaby.
