Charles Richard Field passed away peacefully at the age of 90, on August 4, 2016 in Castlegar, BC. He was born on April 4, 1926 in Saskatchewan. Charles retired with 38 years at Teck Cominco, and was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #11 for 27 years. He enjoyed being outdoors; fishing and hunting. Above all, Charles was an extremely proud family man and had a special love for all his grandchildren.
Dick is survived by sons Larry and Rick, grandchildren; Derek (Jen), Joel (Shannon), Patrick (Lisa), Adam (Jesse), Devon, Melanie and great-grandchildren; Adrianna, Ruby and Nate.
He is predeceased by his wife of 35 years Doris Field, and daughter Bev Field.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will follow at a later date. Alexandra Butts of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
