Rommerdahl: Charles passed away in Trail on February 3, 2011. Chuck was born in Trail and received his education in Trail and Vancouver. During WWII he served with the Merchant Navy. Chuck then became an electrical apprentice with the C.M.&S. Company (Teck). He held many different positions with the company, and travelled to India and Spain. In 1949, Chuck married Clara Gierl.
Chuck is survived by his wife Clara, their two children Jim and Jackie, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren, as well as his sister Helen Oddy of Trail. He was predeceased by two sisters and one niece.
For many years Chuck volunteered on community projects. His leisure time was spent on fishing, hiking, and photography, but mostly on the golf course.
Chuck enjoyed his lifestyle and has requested no flowers or memorial Service. Bill Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services is entrusted with arrangements.
