August 6, 1993 – March 31, 2022
It is with great sadness that Kim Hendriksen of Fruitvale, BC and Stan Hendriksen of Calgary, AB, announce the passing of their beloved son Chris Hendriksen.
Chris was born August 6, 1993 in Trail, BC and passed at his home in Kelowna, BC on March 31st, 2022 at age 28. Chris was predeceased by his grandparents Bert and Anne Hendriksen of Fruitvale and Harold and Barb Noack of Pembroke, ON. He was also predeceased by his Aunt Kelly Yantha of Pembroke, ON and his Uncle Rick Johnson of New Westminster, BC. Chris is survived by his parents Stan and Kim Hendriksen, his sister Tina Caputo (Darren), his sister Jessica Hendriksen (Michael Browell), his brother Tyler Hendriksen, his sister Mallory DeVries, his nephews Braeden and Ethan Caputo, his niece Alexis Caputo, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Chris graduated from J.L. Crowe, class of 2011, and worked at Zellers until it closed. He then moved to Kelowna to become an electrician at Okanagan College, and then started working at Total Restoration until his passing.
Chris was a unique, vibrant, hard-working young man, who was very well liked by all who knew him. When together with his brother Tyler and sister Jess, it was always a good time. He had an infectious sense of humour that would brighten anyone’s world. He loved animals, and was always happy when there was a cat or dog within arm’s reach. Chris will be missed greatly by many people. Though our hearts are broken, we take solace that he is with our Lord.
A service will be held at the Lutheran Church in Trail, BC on Wednesday, April 13th at 11am with Pastor Kai Buck officiating.
Gwen Ziprick of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
