It is with great sadness that Chris’ family announces his passing on Monday, January 24, 2011 in Creston, BC. He was born on April 14, 1974 in Victoria, BC.

Chris graduated in 1992 from Rossland Secondary School and attended music school in Nelson and Kamloops.

Chris’ hobbies included skiing, scuba diving, and computers. He was an animal lover, a musical genius, and worked as a First Response Fire Fighter.

He is survived by his wife Lori, son Jamie, daughter Jacey, parents Lynn (Cam), Terry (Helen), mother-in-law Kathleen and Ross Merritt, siblings Tera (Mike), Stephen, Leah (Joe), and many nieces and nephews, grandparents Bill and Mary Vickers.

Predeceased by grandparents Everett and Mona Thomas, Uncle Bill and Aunt Pat Evans.

Chip was a loving, incredibly intelligent and talented person with the ability to make people laugh in any situation. He will be missed dearly.

There will be a service held in Parish Hall in Rossland on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at 11:00am.

The family would appreciate any donations made to the Cancer Society.
